Yes, we can practically treat all areas of the body with the exception of the eyebrows, due to their close proximity to the eyes. We are also unable to treat areas covered in tattoos, and must remain approximately 1 cm from semi-permanent make up.

There are very few contraindications however, during an advanced consultation, we will run through your medical history. The most common barriers to treatment are photosensitising medication, pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Before treatment you should refrain from sun bathing and use of self-tanners. We recommend no sun exposure for 4-6 weeks. We advise you to arrive at your appointment with the treatment area clean and shaved, without makeup, product or deodorant.

Are All Laser Hair Removal Devices The Same?
No, the international scientific community values the Initia diode laser for the best hair removal results in very few sessions and with less risk of side effects to the skin.
Also there are different types of lasers with different powers, so choosing one or the other is important if you want to obtain satisfactory results. For a laser to be effective it should have high power. If less energy is applied in the treatment the hair follice will only be weakened, not eliminated.
With the Intia, we have two modes: STANDARD mode and MOTION mode. It is MOTION mode which activates the IceTip Technology for virtually pain-free treatments, protecting the skin in the treatment area.
